Community segments from educational, national, and cultural circles in the city of Derik confirmed that the unity of the Kurdish people during the sensitive phase experienced by Rojava has played a fundamental role in supporting the Rojava Revolution and strengthening its resilience. They pointed out that this popular solidarity, alongside the sacrifices of the martyrs, contributed to thwarting what they described as plans targeting the existence of the Kurdish people.

In this context, teacher Yasmin Hadi said that the solidarity achieved among the Kurdish people in defense of their land and homeland represents a source of pride and gratitude. She emphasized the necessity of strengthening and preserving this unity in a way that serves to consolidate the rights, identity, and language of the Kurdish people—particularly through constitutional recognition of the Kurdish language and guaranteeing national rights in any new Syrian constitution.

She added that the current phase requires continued struggle in the face of policies of killing, displacement, and looting, noting that what the region has experienced came as a result of international decisions targeting the Kurdish people. She stressed that unity of ranks has helped protect the sacrifices of the martyrs and foil the plans devised against the Kurdish people.

For his part, national figure Manawer Abdo explained that Kurdish unity has transformed into an effective force in confronting challenges and has formed a solid wall at this pivotal stage. He called for safeguarding it as the path to achieving legitimate rights and ensuring a better future for the Kurdish people.

Meanwhile, intellectual Khamis Khadr pointed out that Kurdish unity has played an influential role during this sensitive period. He said that some parties sought to break the will of the Kurdish people and undermine their rights, but the cohesion of society prevented those goals from being achieved. He added that society became a supportive base for Rojava and contributed to confronting the attacks targeting the region.

He concluded that the current stage requires greater cohesion and joint action to preserve achievements and safeguard the sacrifices of the martyrs, leading to the consolidation of the Kurdish people’s national rights within the framework of a future Syria.
