In the past few hours, Israeli forces executed a series of unusual movements near the Syrian-Lebanese border, covering areas from the town of Yafour in western Damascus countryside, about 18 kilometers from the capital, to Qalaat Jandal in the Mount Hermon region, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. In detail, a special Israeli force entered the village of Rakhla, opposite the Lebanese town of Yahmour, near the border strip, in a rare move considered the first of its kind in this area.

The Syrian Observatory stated that these movements are part of an Israeli attempt to sever the connecting routes between Syria and Lebanon and to tighten the noose on Hezbollah near the Lebanese border.

In a related context, an Israeli incursion was observed targeting military sites and barracks belonging to the 36th Regiment of the former regime, which were used by Hezbollah, in the vicinity of Qalaat Jandal in Mount Hermon.

Additionally, Israeli helicopter activity was recorded in the skies above Yafour, with local sources reporting that the Israeli army conducted an airdrop operation in the town of Yafour in the Damascus countryside, approximately ten kilometers from Damascus.
