Media outlets affiliated with the transitional government in Syria reported that 3 unidentified projectiles fell in the vicinity of the Mezzeh Military Airport, with no human injuries recorded and the damage limited to material losses.

In the same context, other media sites and pages reported that the sounds of fire and ambulance sirens were heard heading toward Mazzeh Highway following the explosions.

The security forces affiliated with the transitional government also imposed a strict security cordon around the targeted site, preventing access to the area surrounding the airport, while continuing their search operations.

Neighborhoods in the capital, Damascus, were previously targeted by rocket fire last month, the source of which remains unknown. This comes amid ongoing security tensions and the state of chaos in areas under the control of the transitional government in Syria.
