UK Envoy: Aid to Kobani top priority

The British Special Envoy to Syria confirmed that delivering humanitarian aid to areas such as Kobani is among the United Kingdom’s top priorities in the coming phase, despite the country’s fragile situation.

The British Special Envoy to Syria, Ann Snow, announced that the ceasefire between theSyrian Democratic Forces( SDF) and Damascus is an important step toward stability. 

However, she stressed that the situation remains fragile, adding that delivering aid to areas such as will be a priority in the next phase.

In statements to Rudaw Media Network, , Snow highlighted the January 29 agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the interim government.

She noted that Britain considers the recent ceasefire “an important step toward easing tensions and achieving long-term stability,” but warned that the situation remains “fragile,” urging all parties to avoid actions that could undermine this progress.

Snow also addressed the humanitarian aspect, announcing that her country, through its international partners, has provided assistance to more than 15,000 people in Aleppo and northeast Syria.

She emphasized that delivering humanitarian aid to areas such as Kobani will be a priority in the coming period.

Despite the agreement between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the interim government and the halt in fighting, the latter’s blockade on Kobani has not yet been lifted.
