The rural areas of Girê Spî/Tal Abyad and Ain Issa are subjected to daily shelling by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries, using all types of weapons, both heavy and light, in addition to drone strikes. This shelling has caused human and material damages, including damage to the public services for the residents, such as drinking water and electricity, as they have been directly targeted multiple times.

To discuss the damage to the electrical current, ANHA's agency conducted an interview with the head of the (low and medium) workshops at the Ain Issa Electricity Center, Eid al-Salama, who said: "The Turkish occupation targeted the vicinity of the Ain Issa Electricity Station multiple times during the past week, but they managed to repair it, despite the technical workshops being targeted."

Al-Salama indicated that electricity has been completely cut off from about 60 villages in the countryside of Girê Spî/Tal Abyad and Ain Issa for more than 10 days. These include 40 villages in the countryside of Girê Spî/Tal Abyad (belonging to the town of al-Jarn; Qaz Ali, al-Hurriya, Danay) which are fed by the (Cement Line), and 20 villages in the eastern countryside of Ain Issa (Sheikh Hassan Line; al-Turk, al-Bayda, al-Safawiya). The electricity poles in (al-Batouniya, al-Khashabiya, al-Qusiyat) have all been directly targeted.

The head of the workshops concluded his statement by saying: "Until now, the malfunctions in those villages have not been repaired, as they are frontline areas with the Turkish enemy, and the workshops are exposed to danger and targeting."

This, and the power outage in those villages, caused a complete interruption of drinking water due to the stoppage of electricity supply to the water stations there.
