Turkish occupation kills 4 citizens in occupied Afrin

The Turkish occupation forces killed two elderly men and two women, and injured three others in occupied Afrin. Additionally, three citizens were subjected to assault and torture, and 40 others, including two minors, were kidnapped.

In July 2024, the city of Afrin witnessed a series of crimes committed by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against the local population.

According to the Human Rights Organization Afrin-Syria, the Turkish occupation committed the following crimes in July:

- Killings: 4 citizens, including two elderly men and two women.

- Injuries: 3 cases; two in Shirawa and one in Afrin.

- Assault and torture: 3 citizens, including one woman.

- Kidnapping: More than 40 citizens, including 2 minors.

- Imposing royalties: 3 cases of imposing royalties for the return of homes and 2 cases for constructing multi-story buildings by contractors.

- Sale of property: 7 cases of property sales by Turkish occupation mercenaries and settlers.

-  A civilian’s house was burned after a failed theft attempt.

- Cutting trees and arson forests:

  Turkish occupation mercenaries cut down more than 1,900 trees and burned 572 hectares, including 1,960 cherry trees and 3,760 olive trees.
