The Turkish Foreign Minister of the occupying state, Hakan Fidan, claimed that Turkey is ready to hold a meeting between Erdogan and Bashar al-Assad, in continuation of the propaganda statements that have not stopped, despite the refusal of the Damascus government before withdrawing from Syrian territory.

Fidan claimed to Turkish media today that "talks between Ankara and Damascus have been ongoing, indirectly, for some time, and we have met at different intelligence and military levels."

Referring to the Turkish authorities’ deception of the Syrians, he said: “As a result of the Astana formula and the military agreement that Turkey concluded with Russia, especially since 2017, there is now an agreement, a frozen war, no conflict, an atmosphere of silence, since then, we believed that we must take steps towards a permanent solution to certain issues.”

After 20 rounds of “Astana Track” meetings, the results of this track have become clear in all aspects of Syrians’ lives, from drawing new maps of influence for the country and dividing it between the “Tripartite Deals (Iran - Turkey - Russia)”, to changing the demographics of Syrian regions, displacing their people and settling others who suit their interests.

The wave of statements issued by Turkish officials comes at a time when the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation in the occupied Syrian regions are wary of any new developments in the rapprochement, as the anti-government demonstrations continue, after Erdogan exploited the issue of the so-called "support for the Syrian revolution" for his internal agendas and the occupation of parts of Syrian territory, in addition to exploiting the Syrian refugee crisis in his election campaigns, and handing over some areas of the Syrian opposition to the Damascus government within the Astana agreements.
