Turkish bombardment targets 10 vital facilities, 4 Cantons in NE Syria

The Turkish occupation launched intense bombardments via warplanes, drones, and artillery on four cities and more than 20 villages and towns, in addition to 10 vital facilities, a health clinic, and a center along with four points of the Internal Security Forces in the NE Syria region. The initial toll resulted in the martyrdom of four civilians and the injury of 15 others.

On Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, the Turkish occupation carried out attacks via warplanes, drones, and ground shelling on several areas in the NE Syria region, in a new wave of ongoing attacks on the region.

Afrin and Shahba Canton

The Turkish occupation began its attacks at around 21:45 on Wednesday by targeting the city of Tal Rifaat, where the occupation directly hit civilian homes, leading to the martyrdom of four civilians, including a child. The martyrs are: Ibrahim Mohammad Sheikho (55 years old) from the village of Qasim in Afrin, the child Malak Shiyar (5 years old), and two other men whose names are yet to be identified.

Additionally, 10 civilians were injured, among them: the boy Ahmad Rifai (15 years old), Jamila Khalil Waqas (32 years old), the mother of the martyred child Malak Shiyar, and Sakina Mohammad Ismail (55 years old).

Later, the Turkish occupation expanded its shelling on Afrin and Shahba Canton, targeting 17 villages in the rural areas of the cities of Shera and Shirawa in Afrin and the villages of Shahba.

Euphrates Canton

The occupation expanded its bombardment on the NE Syria region to target the village of Qazaali in the countryside of the city of Girê Spî/Tal Abyad.

The Turkish occupation also targeted the center of Kobani, where its drones struck the city seven times, one of which hit the power station south of the city, causing a blackout in the city, the Internal Security Forces' points, and the city's automated bakery. The bombing also injured three Internal Security Forces members while they were performing their duties in the city, inspecting the sites targeted by Turkish drones.

Manbij Canton

The Turkish occupation's bombardment also targeted the villages of Sayada, Aoun al-Dadat, Tukhar, and Daraj, which are populated areas in Manbij region within NE Syria, according to the Manbij Military Council’s media center.

Jazera Canton

In the Jazera Canton, Turkish occupation drones carried out six airstrikes on Qamishlo city. The first attack targeted an Internal Security Forces center in the Antariya neighborhood, the second struck an Internal Security Forces point in the Halko neighborhood, the third hit a health clinic in the Kornish neighborhood, the fourth targeted the grain silos in the Antariya neighborhood, the fifth hit the northern belt area of the city, and the sixth targeted the "Sadcop" fuel distribution center in the Suez Canal neighborhood.

A Turkish drone also bombed the village of Merka Mira in the countryside of Derik with more than ten airstrikes. It also targeted the surroundings of Mount Qara chokh in the Derik countryside, the area around the village of Tabki, the area around the village of Geri Fri, and Bana Shkefti.

Additionally, the Turkish occupation shelled the village of Um al-Keif, located in the western countryside of Tal Tamr, with artillery fire.

The Turkish occupation expanded its shelling of cities in the region, as its drones targeted the electricity distribution station and its surroundings in the city of Amuda.

Continuing its assault on infrastructure in the Jazera Canton, the Turkish occupation also targeted oil and gas stations, as well as electricity conversion stations in the eastern countryside of the canton.

The targeted stations and centers are: Suwaidiyah Station, the gas plant in Suwaidiyah Station, the oil collection and conversion station in Tufayla, Saeediyah Station, and Awda Station.

Turkish warplanes bombed the Saeeda oil station in the northern countryside of Tirbespiyê in the Jazera Canton, NE Syria.

The bombing caused significant material damage to the targeted stations, in addition to injuring a worker at the targeted gas plant, according to an initial toll.
