A source from the Girê Spî/Tal Abyad border gate between Syria and Turkey reported that 1,803 forcibly deported Syrian refugees crossed from Turkey towards the city of Girê Spî, which is occupied by the Turkish state and its mercenaries, during last April.

The source confirmed that the Turkish authorities handed over the deportees in batches to their mercenaries, the “Military Police” in Girê Spî/Tal Abyad, in preparation for settling them in the homes of those forcibly displaced from the city, indicating that most of the deportees were from the areas (Hama - Aleppo - Damascus countryside - Deir ez-Zor).

Turkey is exploiting Syrian refugees under the name of "voluntary return" to change the demographics of the Syrian regions it occupies with its mercenaries.

With this number, the number of people forcibly deported from Turkey to the occupied city of Girê Spî, from residents of various regions of Syria other than Girê Spî/Tal Abyad, during the current year reached 4,930 people.

Since the beginning of the deportation in early April 2022, their number has reached more than 35 thousand people, including 72 Iraqis.

The Turkish occupation state also settles the families of its mercenaries in the city.

Yesterday, it forcibly deported 30 people from the countryside of Damascus, Idlib, and Palmyra to the occupied city of Azaz.
