Transitional govt. factions target mosque in Sheikh Maqsood, fire randomly

The Internal Security Forces in Aleppo stated that the factions affiliated with the transitional government continued to breach the ceasefire in Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafieh for the second consecutive day.

In a statement, the Internal Security Forces added that they are closely monitoring "the ongoing violations committed by the armed factions affiliated with the interim government, which continue to breach the agreements on the ceasefire" in Sheikh Maqsood and Ashrafieh.

As part of these ongoing violations, Al-Hassan Mosque near the al-Jabanat area in the eastern Sheikh Maqsood neighborhood was targeted using a drone equipped with ammunition. This attack further complicates the security situation in the area and endangers civilians’ lives at a sensitive time.

These factions also continued to fire sporadically and randomly over the neighborhoods, aiming to provoke our forces and draw us into a new military escalation, which deepens tension in the area and threatens citizens’ safety.

The Internal Security Forces in Aleppo emphasize the necessity for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire and agreements and call on the transitional government to assume full responsibility and halt these actions, which increase civilians’ suffering and threaten the city’s stability.
