Crowds of residents who arrived at Tishreen Dam from the cantons of al-Jazira, Raqqa, Tabqa and Euphrates began shifting at Tishreen Dam, which is one of the most important vital resources in North and East Syria and Syria in general.

Since December 8, 2024, Tishreen Dam and Qarqozak Bridge have been subjected to violent attacks by the Turkish occupation with warplanes and drones, artillery shelling and a ground attack by its mercenaries.

The Syrian Democratic Forces confirmed that Tishreen Dam is threatened with collapse as a result of the Turkish attacks, and this could lead to a humanitarian disaster throughout the region.

This morning, thousands of Kurds, Arabs and Syriacs from the cantoons of al-Jazira, Raqqa, Tabqa and Euphrates headed towards Tishreen Dam to stop the attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. The Turkish occupation bombed the convoy and according to initial reports there were martyrs and wounded among civilians. Despite the Turkish bombing, the crowds heading to Tishreen Dam continued on foot and were able to reach the dam, and began the activities of the dam's rotation.
