To assess the latest developments in the region, the Tirbê Spiyê City Council held a meeting with the residents on Wednesday at the hall of the Democratic Union Party (PYD) center in the city, with the participation of dozens of residents and representatives of civil society organizations.

During the meeting, Nalin Temo; the administrator in the Tirbê Spiyê City Council, stated that the region was going through a historic period. She addressed the wars taking place in the Middle East and the recent attacks on Rojava and North and East Syria, emphasizing that unity was the most important factor in confronting all attacks.

Nalin pointed out that the aim of the attacks being launched on the region was the extermination of the Kurds, but the people of the region responded firmly to the attackers. She said, "All over the world, the Kurds were in the streets, thwarting the genocide and strengthening their unity."

Nalin Temo stressed the need to protect the gains achieved by the people of the region through the sacrifice of thousands of martyrs.

She continued, "Our people must be vigilant. There are parties seeking to destabilize our regions, and we will not allow them to achieve their goals thanks to our resistance and struggle."

In closing, Nalin Temo; the administrator in the Tirbê Spiyê City Council, said, "We are now in March, a month that brings both joy and sorrow to the Kurds. Therefore, we will celebrate Newroz 2026 in the spirit of the Rojava resistance and national unity."
