Thousands rally across NE Syria in support of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh

At this hour, thousands of residents from cities across NE Syria are demonstrating in solidarity with the people of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, denouncing the attacks and blockade imposed by the Interim Government forces.

Mass demonstrations are taking place in Qamishlo, Hasakah, Tirbespiyeh, and Derik in Jazira Canton, as well as in Kobani in the Euphrates Canton, and in Raqqa and Tabqa. Protesters expressed their support for the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh in Aleppo, condemning the assaults carried out by the Interim Government forces and the severe blockade imposed through road closures and attacks on civilians.

Participants raised banners demanding an end to the siege and the cessation of assaults, reaffirming their solidarity with residents rejecting starvation and exclusion policies.

Earlier, Interim Government forces opened fire on demonstrators in Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh who were calling for the reopening of roads, injuring several civilians.
