HASAKA

Today, thousands of people from the city of Hasaka and the districts of Al-Darbasiyah, Tal Tamr, Al-Hawl, Al-Shaddadi, and Tal Brak came out in a rally denouncing the international conspiracy that targeted the leader Abdullah Ocalan on this day in 1999. Notables of the Arab and Kurdish tribes, the war-wounded, mothers of peace, representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration in al-Jazera Canton, and representatives of political parties and civil society institutions participated in the rally.

During which participants raised banners reading “Freedom for Leader Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue,” “Freedom for Leader Ocalan,” “Down with the February 15 plot, freedom for Leader Ocalan."

During which the participants chanted slogans, “There is no life without the leader, down with the international conspiracy,” all the way to Khato Square in the center of the city of Hasaka.

The rally in Khato Square turned into a mass stand, which included a speech by the co-chair of the Democratic Society Movement, Gharib Hesso, in which he condemned the conspiracy and stressed that the popular resistance continues for a moment, and its scope has expanded beyond the geography of Kurdistan, like the global campaign that was launched in more than 74 centers around the world to demand The leader's physical freedom.

Hesso stressed the persistence of the Kurdistan peoples in their resistance and steadfastness due to their reliance in their struggle on the ideas of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

For her part, the member of the Kongra Star  Haifi Suleiman, pointed to the revival of the culture of oppressed peoples by leader Abdullah Ocalan and described his ideas as “supportive of societies,” stressing that they eliminated capitalism and tyranny.

She noted Kongra Star's firm position in the struggle until achieving the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

The rally ended amid chants that echoed throughout the city with the slogan “There is no life without the leader.”
