Thousands flock to Newroz celebration square in Amed

Amed has great importance in Kurdistan and in the struggle for freedom, so the attention of Kurdistan and the whole world turns every year to the Newroz celebration there, and that is why the celebration was held today only in Amed.

Thousands flock to the celebration square, which is held in Newroz Park in Razan district, since the morning hours, and the entrances to the celebration square from the Qamishlo roundabout, Newroz Street, and Bagcilar neighborhood are very crowded.

Crowds of people, including the candidates of the People's Equality and Democracy Party for the local elections, gathered at various points in the city where many citizens participated in the celebration in Kurdish dress.

The celebration was attended by thousands from all over the world, including European countries, as well as thousands of villages affiliated with the city.

The slogans “Long live Leader Apo” and “Long live prison resistance” are chanted in various places in the city and its neighborhoods.

People continue to flock to the celebration square, and the celebration program is expected to begin shortly.
