TEV-DEM: world must support Rojava

The TEV DEM issued a written statement on the occasion of the first of November, the International Day of Solidarity with Kobani.

The statement pointed to the attack of ISIS mercenaries on Kobani on September 15, 2014, supported by external and local forces, to confront the July 19, 2012 revolution and the Turkish occupation state's support for mercenaries with all its strength.

The statement pointed to the uprising of all revolutionaries, democrats and supporters of peace in Kurdistan and the world and their haste to rescue Kobani based on the call of the public alarm issued by leader Abdullah Ocalan, and continued by saying: "Kobani witnessed historical resistance, and thwarted the ambitions of the conspirators and Turkish fascism, humanity has been defended and protected on the land of Kobani, so in 2014, dozens of Nobel laureates, historians, philosophers, representatives of social organizations and celebrities declared November 1 an international day of solidarity with the citadel of steadfastness and resistance; Kobani, and millions around the world took to the squares and Kobani turned into a global city, as the world realized that Kobani defends democracy and the future for all humanity."

The statement touched on the increasing risks and threats to the gains of the Kobani resistance on the 10th anniversary of the International Day of Solidarity with Kobani and concluded by saying: "The occupiers, mercenaries and conspirators aspire once again to eliminate the gains of the Kobani resistance and Rojava, so we call for strengthening global solidarity and support with Rojava and the achievements of the people of NE Syria.
