According to residents in the area, a supplication delivered by a sheikh over loudspeakers included phrases targeting specific groups and sects, including Alawites, Druze, and Kurds, in addition to expressions described as takfiri in nature and repeatedly used.

Residents told ANHA correspondent that the remarks were clearly audible throughout the neighborhood, creating tension—particularly as the area and worshippers include individuals belonging to the mentioned communities.

The incident has raised questions among locals regarding the role of security authorities and relevant institutions in curbing rhetoric that may be perceived as incitement, especially at a time when the area faces ongoing security challenges, including daily incidents of killings and kidnappings, placing additional strain on civil peace.
