During the current phase, the regions of Rojava are witnessing growing social movements that reflect the commitment of the region’s communities to coexistence and to strengthening the historic relations that have united the peoples of the region for decades.

In the past period, two tribal gatherings were held in the village of Sarnaja Daqouriya in the countryside of Amuda on May 1, and in the village of Tel Alo south of Çil axa on April 24. The meetings saw broad participation from Arab, Kurdish, and Syriac tribal elders and dignitaries, aiming to strengthen social ties among the communities and affirm rejection of all attempts to spread division and strife.

In this context, ANHA Agency met with the notable man of the Tayy tribe, Sheikh Ziyad Farhan Al-Ta’i, who stressed the importance of unity among the region’s communities, emphasizing that the people remain while governments change, and that preserving social cohesion is a collective responsibility.

The Sheikh said: “We are one people and this is one land. We must stand together to overcome this crisis, whether Kurds or Arabs. There are many tribal elders and dignitaries working for stability.”

He stressed that the tribes stand against any attempts to undermine the social fabric, adding: “We will not accept any sedition or attempts to divide our people. Whoever seeks to harm this land, we will confront them regardless of who they are.”

The notable man concluded by emphasizing the deep historical ties among the region’s communities, saying that these bonds, built over hundreds of years of coexistence, will not be abandoned, and that the people of the region will remain brothers, family, and neighbors despite all challenges.
