Syriac Assyrians Chaldeans join general mobilization

The Syriac Assyrian Chaldean component in North and East Syria issued a statement, condemning the ongoing attacks launched by the Turkish occupation on the North and East of Syria, including the cantons of Afrin, Shahba and Aleppo.

The statement was read by Bassam Ibrahim, in front of the Assyrian Church in the Al-Nasirah neighborhood in the city of Hasaka, in the presence of dozens of youth from the Syriac Assyrian Chaldean component.

The statement stressed that the displacement of the indigenous population in Aleppo, Afrin and Shahba comes within a systematic plan for demographic changing.

The statement explained that the Syriac-Assyrian-Chaldean component is considered an integral part of the Syrian fabric.

The statement highlighted the role of the Syriac-Assyrian-Chaldean in defending the region alongside the rest of the components through the formation of military and security forces.

The statement stressed the importance of closing ranks between the various components coexisting in the region, and working to confront any aggression that threatens the security and safety of the region.

At the end of the statement, the Syriac-Assyrian-Chaldean component reaffirmed its support for the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Democratic Autonomous Administration.
