The Observatory said the military build-up has continued across the Syrian-Lebanese border, covering areas in western rural Homs, rural Damascus, and Tartus, alongside ongoing large-scale redeployment operations.

It explained that the reinforcements were concentrated in border villages in the Qusayr and Talkalakh areas, as well as the Zabadani plain and the Qalamoun foothills. Military activity was also observed near the northern Lebanese border in the Akkar region.

The Observatory further noted the transfer of heavy weapons and military vehicles from eastern rural Aleppo toward border positions in rural Homs, in a move reflecting a strengthening of Syria’s military presence along the entire border with Lebanon.
