silence of international powers is evidence of their complicity with Turkish occupation
The people of Tal Tamr district and the displaced people of Serêkaniyê called on the international powers to break their silence and put an end to the Turkish violations against the region, and stressed that their silence is evidence of their complicity with the Turkish occupation.
Since its occupation of the Serêkaniyê and Girê Spi region in 2019, the Turkish state has not stopped bombing the areas adjacent to the border and targeting populated areas. On October 4, it escalated its attacks, targeting vital and service facilities.
The people of Tal Tamr district and the IDPs of Serêkaniyê saw that this escalation is the result of the international forces’ complicity with them and their silence regarding the crimes they commit against citizens.
Citizen Munira Khalil, a resident of Tal Tamr district, pointed out that “the Turkish occupation continues its violations in the occupied areas, from kidnapping civilians, blackmailing them for money, stealing their property, and changing the demographics of the areas it occupied by bringing in the families of mercenaries and placing them in the homes of the civilians they forcibly displaced, in addition to... "His continued targeting of the regions of NE, Syria."
The international powers called for "urgent action to put an end to the violations of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries."
As for the citizen Mahmoud Abdel Aziz Al-Muhammad, who was displaced from Serêkaniyê and lives in the Tal Tamr district, he noted: “The occupation is fighting us by cutting off Alouk’s water, which is the only source for the Tal Tamr district and the city of Al-Hasakah, in addition to bombing service centers with the aim of starving the people and sowing discord in the region.” ".
He explained: "Turkey is deceitful country. On the one hand, it condemns Israel's cutting of water and electricity to the Palestinians, and on the other hand, it forcibly displaces us from our city, and brings in its mercenaries and settles them there, to change its demographics, and cuts off our water, and targets electricity stations. This is evidence of its criminal and terrorist mentality."
He stressed: "We will continue our resistance despite all of this."
As for citizen Rasha Alo, a resident of Tal Tamr district, she said that Erdogan uses a dual policy. On the one hand, he condemns the killing of children in Palestine, while he kills the children of NE, Syria.
It called on international powers to "break their silence regarding what the region is witnessing and put an end to Turkish crimes."
