“Shooting down drones strong blow to Turkish occupation state”
The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party in the Darbasiyah district, Farid Ismail, confirmed that the People’s Defense Forces’ possession of techniques to shoot down Turkish drones is a strong blow to the Turkish occupation state.
On March 20, the leadership of the People's Defense Center (NPG) announced that it possessed techniques to shoot down drones belonging to the Turkish occupation state that have been launching attacks against areas of southern Kurdistan for years, and confirmed that 15 drones had been shot down so far.
The co-chair of the Democratic Union Party in the Darbasiyah district, Farid Ismail, said that the People’s Defense Forces’ possession of techniques to shoot down Turkish drones, and their downing of 15 drones, is a strong blow to the Turkish occupation state. He stressed: “It came in response to the chemical weapons attacks and massacres that are taking place against the Kurdistan people.”
He indicated that the Justice and Development Party government is in a state of confusion in its foreign policies, at times providing support to Israel, and at other times siding with the Hamas movement, as is the case in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. He said: “If it continues in this manner, it will push itself towards destruction.”
Ismail pointed out that the Turkish occupation state is facing: “either waging a bloody battle that will result in heavy casualties and losses, or pushing towards sitting at the dialogue table”.
