Thousands of people from the NE Syria region have been rotating on the Tishreen Dam for 4 days, in groups to protect the dam from the attacks it has been subjected to since December 8, 2024.

4 days ago, large crowds of people from NE Syria went to the Tishreen Dam to stop the attacks, and their convoy was bombed, which led to the death of 3 citizens and the injury of 15 others near the Sarrin junction separating the dam and the city of Sarrin.

Despite this, residents continued on foot, traveling thousands of meters to reach the dam and organize a shift there.

The residents, who rotate in groups, stressed that protecting the dam is a national duty placed on every citizen, and they will not leave the dam.

On Friday, the people of a number of cities in Al-Jazira Canton, of NE Syria, went to the Tishreen Dam to participate in the continuous shift there.
