Shift continues on Tishreen Dam for fifth day in row

Yesterday, Saturday, hundreds of residents of the cities of Tal Tamr, Al-Darbasiyah, Zarghan, Hasaka, Al-Shaddadi and Amuda went to Tabqa and headed towards the Tishreen Dam to demand an end to the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the dam and prevent it from collapsing.

At these moments, the convoy of residents arrived at Tishreen Dam, and joined the residents on duty at the dam. The residents stressed the need to stop the attacks of the Turkish occupation state against the Tishreen Dam.

Citizen Mahdi Daghim, from the city of Al-Shaddadi, who headed as part of a convoy from Al-Jazira Canton to the Tishreen Dam, stressed the need to stop the attacks of the Turkish occupation state targeting their areas and vital and service facilities, and said: “Turkey’s hand must be removed from our areas and from Syria, and Turkey must be removed from the Syrian land."

Citizen Adla Rasoul, from the city of Al-Darbasiyah, confirmed that her main goal in heading to the dam was to protect it from the attacks it was exposed to.

The surroundings and body of Tishreen Dam are subjected to violent attacks launched by the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries. The Democratic Autonomous Administration confirmed that the dam threatens to collapse if the attacks continue, and that its collapse will constitute a humanitarian catastrophe in the region and Syria in general.

Residents heading to Tishreen Dam began, for the second day in a row, cleaning the dam from the remnants of attacks by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries.
