The shelling caused extensive destruction to civilians’ homes, places of worship, service institutions, and infrastructure.

The Internal Security Forces affirmed their continued commitment to defending civilians, stating: “We stress that the attacks targeting these neighborhoods will not deter us from continuing our duty to maintain security and stability.”

Artillery shelling is still ongoing at the moment, directly targeting residential neighborhoods in a serious escalation that endangers civilians’ lives and threatens a new humanitarian catastrophe in the city.

Meanwhile, large crowds from the regions of North and East Syria took to public squares to denounce the attacks, affirming their support for the resistance and steadfastness of the residents. Similar demonstrations are scheduled to take place today, reflecting ongoing public outrage against the attacks targeting the besieged neighborhoods of Aleppo since 25 September.
