The Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic-language spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, announced that the Israeli Air Force had launched strikes on sites belonging to the Transitional Government forces in Syria, which recently entered As-Suwayda and its countryside.

Street battles continue between local armed groups and the Transitional Government forces in various neighborhoods of As-Suwayda, following their entry into the city earlier this afternoon.

In a post on social media, Adraee stated:

"Under the direction of the political leadership, the IDF has just begun targeting military vehicles belonging to the Syrian regime in the As-Suwayda region of southern Syria. This comes after convoys of armored personnel carriers and tanks heading toward As-Suwayda were detected yesterday. Since then, the IDF has struck several armored vehicles, including tanks, APCs, and rocket launchers, as well as roads to obstruct their arrival in the area."

He added, "The IDF continues to monitor and follow developments and remains on alert, both defensively and in preparation for various scenarios."
