Security Forces: 4 members injured in attack on Deir Hafir crossing point

​​The General Command of the Internal Security Forces issued a statement to the public regarding the attack on the Deir Hafir crossing point by armed factions affiliated with the Transitional Government in Syria. The statement read:

“At exactly 7:00 p.m. this Saturday evening, the Deir Hafir crossing was directly targeted by a suicide drone belonging to rogue factions linked to the Damascus government.

This treacherous attack resulted in the injury of four of our members while they were performing their duty to safeguard the security and stability of the region and ensure the safe passage of civilians and goods through the crossing.

We, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces – North and East Syria, strongly condemn this criminal aggression, which constitutes a blatant assault on the security and stability of our regions. It once again exposes the ongoing policy of these factions to destabilize the area and attack our forces who are working tirelessly to protect the population.

We also affirm that such cowardly attacks will not deter us from fulfilling our national and humanitarian duty to defend our people and ensure their safety. We will continue to act decisively against anyone who seeks to disrupt the security and stability of our regions.
