The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement indicating that two of its fighters were injured in an explosion caused by a suicide drone belonging to the Transitional Government Forces in Syria while they were assisting civilians in the city of Deir Hafer.

SDF indicated that its fighters were performing their humanitarian duty by providing aid to civilians injured as a result of shelling carried out by the transitional government forces on villages and populated areas around Deir Hafer when they were directly targeted.

SDF confirmed that targeting ambulance teams and medical evacuation points constitutes a highly dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, with the transitional government bearing full responsibility for this escalation and its repercussions, as well as any direct threat to the security of the region and the lives of civilians.

The Syrian Democratic Forces emphasized that they will continue to fulfilll their duty of protecting civilians and providing humanitarian assistance despite attempts at deliberate targeting, while retaining their legitimate right to take all necessary measures to defend their forces and areas as required by necessity.
