The tripartite meeting, attended by the SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi, member of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ) leadership Rohlat Afrin, the Co-chairs of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, and the Co-presidency of the Syrian Democratic Council, was reported on the official SDF website.

According to the report, the meeting discussed the implementation of the terms of the agreement signed on March 10 between SDF Commander-in-Chief Mazloum Abdi and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa. It also addressed the conditions for initiating negotiations to implement the agreement, coinciding with the Autonomous Administration’s delegation heading to Damascus to begin the first round of dialogue.

The meeting reviewed, per the published report, “ways to unify efforts with the Ministry of Defense in the fight against the  ISIS,” in addition to the situation in camps and prisons holding tens of thousands of ISIS members.

The meeting also praised the decision by the United States and the European Union to lift sanctions on Syria, highlighting its importance for reconstruction and revitalizing Syria, which contributes to establishing security and stability and facilitating the return of displaced persons and refugees to their cities and villages.

Additionally, it was decided during the meeting to begin preparations for holding a comprehensive national conference for the components of North and East Syria to discuss ways to implement the March 10 agreement.
