SDF calls for reviving spirit of November 1st resistance 

The General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces issued a statement published on the official website of the forces regarding the developments in Syria, the Turkish occupation's attacks, and its colonial ambitions in Syria. 

SDF indicated that the occupation is planning an attack on the city of Kobani and called for standing alongside SDF and Kobani. 

And the statement read: 

Syria has entered a new phase of developments after toppling of the Ba'ath Party regime. This transformation resulted in vacuums in many areas. With the change of leadership in Damascus, the future of Syria has become unclear, especially in light of the current policies being pursued. 

The occupying Turkish state, which has been attacking North and East Syria for years, continues to exploit these vacuums for its own gains. Recently, its militias directed their attack on the city of Manbij. There is no doubt that the Turkish occupation is seeking, using its full force and under an intense cover, to entrench its presence in the occupied areas. In this context, the occupation directed its forces towards the Tishrin Dam and the Qara Qozak Bridge, in an attempt to reach Kobani. There were fierce battles there, in which Turkey used all its technical means against our fighters. But, thanks to the heroic resistance, and after five days of fierce fighting, these attacks were completely thwarted. 

There is no doubt that the Turkish occupation will not stop, and it is now planning to attack Kobani as part of its goal to annex and fully occupy Syrian territories. For this reason, Turkey has mobilized large numbers of its forces and militias with heavy weapons around Kobani, ready for any attack. At the same time, it continues its daily bombardment of the area. 

Everyone knows that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are not just an ordinary force, but a resistance force that has fought fierce battles against ISIS and continues its struggle. The whole world celebrated our victory against ISIS, but unfortunately, instead of stability replacing ISIS, we find Turkey playing the same role today, attacking the same areas. Everyone knows that the beginning of the end of ISIS was in Kobani. And in Kobani, not only was the dignity of the Kurdish people and the other peoples of the region protected, but also the entire humanity was safeguarded from the danger of ISIS. 

Today, the forces that used to say "Kobani will fall" are once again trying to target it. And just as Kobani was the beginning of the fall of ISIS, it will also be the beginning of the end for Erdogan and his militias. 

Therefore, we call upon the Kurdish and Arab youth, as well as all components of the region, to recognize the seriousness of this situation and join the ranks of the SDF to strengthen the noble resistance. This stage requires everyone to sacrifice and work diligently to ensure a free and dignified life for our peoples in our land. 

We also call on our people in the cities and villages to support their forces and protect their areas. Everyone must move with the spirit of general mobilization and organize their lives according to the demands of this difficult struggle. 

In the name of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), we call upon all the peoples of North and East Syria, as well as the world, supporters, democrats, and defenders of freedom, to stand alongside Kobani and the SDF to revive the spirit of the November 1st resistance. That spirit will once again ensure the protection of our world from the danger of ISIS and its allies, and contribute to building a democratic and free Syria.
