SDF calls for halt attacks on Sweida and resorting to dialogue to resolve all issues

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) called for an immediate halt to the attacks on Sweida in southern Syria and for national initiatives to resolve all issues in a manner consistent with the aspirations of all components of the Syrian people.

In a statement issued by the Syrian Democratic Forces' media center, the SDF condemned the repeated attacks and assaults targeting villages and towns in Sweida, which have resulted in civilian casualties and the burning and looting of dozens of homes and farms.

The statement read: "We condemn the ongoing attacks and assaults targeting villages and towns in Sweida Governorate, which have led to the loss of many lives and the burning and looting of dozens of civilian homes and farms.

The repeated attacks on our people in Sweida and the ongoing harassment they face in their lives, movements, and freedom of movement are a source of concern to us and represent a setback to the hopes and aspirations of Syrians.

We call for an end to these attacks, ensuring their non-recurrence, and providing full opportunity for national initiatives to resolve all issues in a manner consistent with the aspirations of all components of the Syrian people."
