SDF affirm national unity, describe Damascus calls to incite discord as failed

The SDF Media Center issued a statement to public opinion, published on its official website.

The statement said that “the calls issued by the ‘Ministry of Defense’ in Damascus, which attempt to target SDF fighters, are nothing more than desperate and exposed appeals reflecting a state of political and military bankruptcy, and a failed attempt to create sedition among the components of the region.”

It affirmed that “the Syrian Democratic Forces, with fighters from Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, and all other components, form a unified national force, united by blood in confronting terrorism and protecting civilians. These fighters and their families are sons and daughters of this land, patriotic in their affiliation and clear in their choice. Through years of sacrifice, they have proven that their unity is stronger than all attempts at incitement, and that such desperate calls will not affect them, but will only lead to greater cohesion among the people of the region and rallying around their forces.”

The statement added: “Attempts to fracture ranks and sow discord will not change the facts on the ground in any way. The Syrian Democratic Forces, together with the people of North and East Syria, will remain united as one front against terrorism and against all who seek to revive it in new forms.”
