SDC hosts delegation from European civil society organizations

The Union of Kurdish Lawyers in Germany was represented by Roka Rashid, Muhammad Alou, Manan Mahu, and Muhammad Rashid. The delegation from the Confederation of Kurds in Europe included Fayza Younis, President of the Confederation (Germany), and Falk Murad, spokesperson for the Kurdistan Women’s Confederation (Belgium), alongside Omar Muhammad.

Nasar al-Din Ibrahim, the member of the Council’s Political Bureau, also participated in the reception alongside the co-presidency.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to coordinate and cooperate between the Autonomous Administration’s institutions and European bodies, including strategies to strengthen institutional relations, exchange expertise, and establish bridges for international human rights and social collaboration.

The Council presented a brief overview of its political project and vision for a Syrian solution, which is based on Syrian–Syrian dialogue and the establishment of a decentralized democratic state that guarantees the rights of all communities without discrimination.

The Council emphasized that the experience of the Autonomous Administration serves as a practical model for democratic governance, which can inform the drafting of a comprehensive national solution that preserves Syria’s territorial and social unity while achieving justice and equal citizenship.

The co-presidency also highlighted the importance of supporting efforts to strengthen engagement with Kurdish communities and institutions in Europe, noting that such cooperation enhances international relations, supports human rights causes, and contributes to a sustainable peaceful solution that ends the suffering of the Syrian people and opens the path toward a comprehensive political transition.
