Reviving the spirit of resistance in Tishrin Dam in Kobani

Residents formed a convoy and headed to the village of Shuyukh Fawqani to serve as a shield until the water station there was repaired. The residents, who had been deprived of water for more than four months, remained there until the station's maintenance was completed, after which they returned to the city of Kobani.

The Turkish occupation state is continuously targeting the infrastructure of northeastern Syria, and has escalated its attacks since December 8 of last year. The targeting of institutions and service facilities, such as power and water stations in the Euphrates Canton, has deprived the canton's residents of water and electricity.

On February 1, the Turkish occupation state targeted the water station in the village of Shuyukh Fawqani with warplanes, completely destroying it and putting it out of service. This wasn't the only station targeted; the power station was also targeted, resulting in a power outage in the city of Kobani and its villages for more than four months, leaving residents without water and electricity throughout this period.

The Turkish occupation state didn't stop there. It continued to target special teams trying to reach the village to rehabilitate the station and return it to service. They used medium-range weapons, forcing them to turn back.

Residents continued to struggle to obtain water through other means, until they decided to head to the station today, forming a protective shield for the special team until it could complete the repairs and supply water to the city of Kobani.

Thus, the spirit of resistance against the Tishrin Dam was revived once again, this time in the village of Shuyukh, with the chanted slogans in response to the attacks of the Turkish occupation state.

The team completed the repairs to the station and supplied water to the city of Kobani and its villages, after which the residents returned to the city.
