Resistance, steadfastness in repelling Turkish occupation

The attacks of the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries on the North and East Syria region continue, amidst the commission of massacres against citizens, which is met with complete silence from international powers.

In the same context, citizen Mohammad al-Khatib, a resident of the city of al-Darbasiyah, who was visiting the city of al-Hasakah, said: "The attacks that the North and East Syria region is being subjected to are carried out with collusion and planning between regional countries. However, the resistance shown by the components of the region is great and tremendous, which prompts the Turkish occupation to try to break this resistance, through forced displacement and repeated attacks."

He added that "the Turkish occupation state displaced thousands from their homes and lands, as happened in Afrin, al-Shahba, and Serekaniye, but the components of the region are committed to defending their lands with all determination and resolve."

For her part, Darya Mohammad, displaced from Afrin canton, said: "We were living in peace in our land, but the Turkish occupation attacked us brutally using 72 aircraft, which forced us to leave it. We were subjected to violations and displacement many times, in front of the world without any intervention from international organizations," wondering about the role of these organizations?

For his part, displaced Aziz Hassan said: "The injustice and aggression that the displaced people in Afrin and al-Shahba cantons were subjected to, no one was subjected to it. The mercenaries stole our land and homes, and robbed our tree."

She pointed out that "what happened in Afrin is a blatant violation of international conventions," calling on humanitarian organizations to assume their responsibilities and stop the massacres committed by the Turkish occupation against the people of the region.

From the city of al-Darbasiyah, citizen Saida Ahmed stressed the importance of popular unity in confronting attacks, pointing out that the city's residents received the forcibly displaced from Afrin and al-Shahba, saying: "We stand together and unite with our people, and we derive our strength from the philosophy of the democratic nation and the thought of Leader Abdullah Ocalan. We stand in the face of the attempts of private war that aim to undermine our will."

She explained that the way to achieve victory is the revolutionary people's war, calling on all residents to take to the squares to protect the homeland from attacks.

In his turn, citizen Abdul Baqi Abdul Rahman, from the city of al-Darbasiyah, stressed the importance of social cohesion in confronting hardships, saying: "The culture of solidarity and receiving the displaced reflects the spirit of brotherhood that we live in North and East Syria."

He added: "The Turkish occupation is trying to displace the indigenous population and impose a demographic change, but we will continue to resist and stand with the Democratic Autonomous Administration to preserve our identity and our land."

North and East Syria is being subjected to attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries seeking to occupy the region, displace its residents and bring about demographic change in it, in clear violation of international laws, but the popular resistance, based on the culture of cohesion and adherence to the land, stands as an impregnable barrier against these attempts.
