Residents of the city of Kobani told ANHA agency that ending the war and achieving peace in Turkey and the region is directly linked to securing the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Masoud Bozi explained that the “Call for Peace and Democratic Society,” launched by Leader Abdullah Ocalan on 27 February 2025, cannot succeed without his physical freedom. He said: “The ‘right to hope’ must be implemented immediately. Everyone knows that Leader Abdullah Ocalan has become a symbol of peace in the 21st century.”

He added: “Many global peace calls have been made, but none were like the call of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, alongside which the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) also announced its dissolution. Leader Abdullah Ocalan holds significant influence and presence in the Middle East and Kurdistan, and today, after 27 years, our leader is still confined within four walls.”

Bozi concluded his remarks by stressing that the person capable of ending the war is Leader Abdullah Ocalan, calling for his immediate physical freedom.

Amina Yasin also noted that Leader Abdullah Ocalan has been imprisoned in İmralı Prison for advocating the rights of all peoples. She said: “His presence with us as mothers gives us strength to stand by him today. Our leader must be released immediately.”

She called on people who believe in Ocalan’s ideas to rise up and take to the streets to demand his physical freedom, referring to the “right to hope” and stressing that it must be implemented immediately.

Bakira Sinjar expressed her deep belief in Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s ideas, saying: “Thanks to the leader, strength has entered the hearts of thousands of people. Therefore, our promise as mothers is that we will continue to support our leader until the end, and we will work together to achieve his physical freedom.”
