Residents of Gerke Legê stress unity of people is source of our stabilization

Amid the challenges facing the regions of Rojava, local residents, including those of Gerke Legê in al-Jazira region, continue to call for greater unity and support for the military forces in order to maintain security and stability and confront efforts aimed at creating divisions among the area’s diverse communities.

In this context, citizen Shawkat Muslim stated that safeguarding the achievements and sacrifices of the martyrs is a collective responsibility that rests on all peoples of Rojava, emphasizing the need to stand behind the military forces during this sensitive period.

He added that all components of society in the region must unite and work together, noting that there is a “special war” aimed at stirring discord between Kurds and Arabs and undermining stability. He stressed that the unity of peoples is the true guarantee of their survival and continued existence on their land.

Shawkat Muslim also called on residents to remain vigilant against attempts to spread division and to rally around the military forces in order to protect the region and preserve its security and stability.

For her part, citizen Nisreen Mohammad said that the Kurdish people today are more compelled than ever to support the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), the People's Protection Units (YPG), and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), noting that these forces have played a fundamental role in protecting the region from terrorist organizations.

She added that supporting the military forces is a national duty, as their presence serves as a safety valve for maintaining security, stability, and peaceful coexistence among the region’s various communities.

Meanwhile, citizen Hevin Murad emphasized that the current phase requires a unified stance from all residents of the region, particularly Kurdish political parties, to support the military and security forces and strengthen social solidarity among the different communities.

Concluding her remarks, she stated that preserving civil peace and stability is closely linked to unity and support for the forces defending the region, stressing that this is both a national and moral responsibility for everyone in order to protect the sacrifices of the martyrs and safeguard the security of the area.
