Hundreds of residents from the Euphrates Canton gathered early in the morning at Martyr Aqid Square to head toward the Tishrin Dam and join the locals protesting there, aiming to protect their water and dam from attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

This marks the sixth convoy of Euphrates Canton residents heading toward the Tishrin Dam with high spirits and strong morale.

ANHA agency spoke with some of the participants in the convoy. Zarifa Hassan affirmed that the goal of these protests is to protect their water, land, and future from attacks by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries. She said: "This is the fifth time my sons have gone to the Tishrin Dam, but this time I decided to join them. We will continue heading to the dam regularly to defend our land against the occupation's attacks."

Zarifa added that the dam, which has become a symbol of resistance, will always be a cause worth sacrificing for. She explained: "The resistance at the Tishrin Dam has continued for the past three months, and we go there with high spirits and strong morale. We will continue defending the dam until the last drop of our blood, and we will achieve victory in the end."

For his part, Sobhi Khalil affirmed their determination to defend the dam against any potential attacks, saying: "We go to the Tishrin Dam to protect it from any aggression."

He concluded by saying: "Tishrin Dam is our dam, and we will not allow any enemy to take control of it. We will remain committed to protecting it until we achieve our goals."
