Reports of Israeli targeting of  Sayyida Zeinab area

A Damascus government agency reported that the air defenses of the Damascus forces responded to hostile targets in the vicinity of Damascus.

In turn, Al-Watan newspaper reported that explosions were heard in the sky of the capital, Damascus, and its environs, and that air defenses shot down a number of missiles.

Sham FM radio also reported that “the Israeli aggression targeted the town of Hajira and one of the points at the beginning of the road to the city of Sayyida Zeinab,” noting that initial information “indicated that there were casualties, and firefighting teams also headed to the area after the rise of plumes.”

Meanwhile, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that there were explosions in Damascus and its countryside resulting from Israeli bombing, while Al-Arabiya Network reported that the Israeli bombing targeted a house in the Sayyida Zeinab area in the Damascus countryside.

As for the Al-Mayadeen website, which is close to Iran, it reported hearing the sound of a large explosion in the Sayyida Zeinab area in Damascus.
