Video footage obtained by ANHA agency shows civilian homes in Tal Aran, east of Aleppo city, being subjected to heavy gunfire by unidentified assailants using automatic rifles.

According to local sources, these attacks occurred late at night and were described by residents as attempts to "intimidate the population and sow chaos, in order to force them to leave their town and abandon their property."

Over the past two months, 12 similar attacks targeting residents of the town have been documented, indicating a pattern of systematic and repeated assaults involving indiscriminate gunfire on homes.

So far, the damage has been limited to material losses, but there are growing fears of escalation amid the continued lack of security and failure of security authorities to fulfill their responsibilities.

Several residents who spoke to ANHA correspondent affirmed that the primary responsibility lies with the Syrian transitional government, as the authority in control of the area, and called for immediate intervention to halt these unacceptable attacks.

It is worth noting that Tal Aran has witnessed a series of security violations and crimes committed by armed groups, including kidnappings, extortion, assaults on civilians, as well as the imposition of levies and obstruction of service projects aimed at supporting the local population.
