Rehabilitation of water station in eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor

The Public Water Department in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor is working to rehabilitate a main water station in the town of Al-Shafah, serving 30,000 people.

The Public Water Department in Deir ez-Zor is working to completely rehabilitate the Al-Shafah town water station building, in addition to rehabilitating the water shed, leveling the land, general maintenance of the electrical and plumbing installations, and installing outdoor lighting that runs on solar energy.

The Water Department installed pipes with a diameter of 10 inches, in addition to rehabilitating the filters and providing a 75-horsepower pump that pumps 160 m3 per hour, lifting 75 m. It also provided a 75-horsepower pump that lifted 22 meters and produced 160 m3.

In addition, the Water Department worked in the recent period to completely replace the water networks in the town of Al-Shafah, with a length of 4,200 meters with different diameters, 1,200 meters of which are 8 inches in diameter as a main line, from which 3,000 thousand meters with a 6-inch diameter branch off into several neighborhoods, which are each of the 24 neighborhood, Al-Dhahra, Al-Hawi area, Al-Taas, and Al-Tahtani Street.

Al-Shafah water station serves approximately 30,000 people, and is scheduled to enter service in the next few days.
