Raqqa residents: We are ready to defend Tishreen Dam with everything we can

The people of Raqqa Canton participating in the Tishreen Dam confirmed that they came to the Tishreen Dam to support the forces stationed on the dam and to defend the Tishreen Dam and the vital facilities in it.

Yesterday, thousands of residents of Tabqa, Raqqa, Al-Jazira and Euphrates Canton set off towards the Tishreen Dam to emphasize unity and readiness to protect the dam from the attacks of the Turkish occupation state.

For nearly a month, Tishreen Dam has been subjected to repeated attacks by the Turkish occupation aircraft, which portends a catastrophe for the people in the region.

The Syrian Democratic Forces said yesterday that the danger of the collapse of the Tishreen Dam is increasing as a result of the attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state with warplanes and drones, and the Turkish occupation state carried any disaster that may affect the dam or the surrounding Syrian areas.

The people of Raqqa Canton, who participated in the Tishreen Dam march, stressed the need to protect the dam and service facilities from the attacks of the Turkish occupation state.

 

Etab al-Deif, a resident of Raqqa, said: "We came to participate in the stand against the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on the Tishreen Dam."

"Protecting the dam is a duty for each of us, as any defect in the dam portends a disaster that may befall the region, and we are ready to fight and stand against these attacks," she added.

She called on the international community and international organizations to stop the attacks and stand with the people of NE Syria and express their position on these attacks

Mustafa Abbas, a resident of Raqqa who participated in the Tishreen Dam march, said: "We came to the Tishreen Dam to repel the Turkish aggression in NE Syria and stop attacks on the dam."

Mustafa Abbas added: "The Turkish occupation state's attacks on the dam continue, and this is dangerous for the region. Our presence here is to protect this dam and prevent the Turkish occupation state from destroying it."
