Raqqa residents condemn torture and extermination regime against leader Ocalan

The people of Raqqa Canton denounced the continuation of the Turkish occupation state system of torture and extermination imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan during a mass march, and stressed: "It is our responsibility to defend our leader Abdullah Ocalan by exposing the policy and systematic violations followed by the Turkish occupation state."

The Zenobia Women's Gathering organized a mass march in Raqqa Canton to denounce the system of torture and extermination practiced against the leader Abdullah Ocalan, by the Turkish authorities.

The march was attended by hundreds of residents of Raqqa Canton, representatives of the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Executive Council of Raqqa Canton, political parties and the people and women of Raqqa.

A speech was delivered on behalf of the women of Raqqa by Buthaina Abdo, spokesperson of the Zenobia Women's Gathering Council, who said: "The fascist Turkish occupation state has continued the system of torture and extermination of the leader for 25 years amid the silence of international organizations and the Committee against Torture."

The spokeswoman for the Zenobia Women's Gathering stressed that the leader's thought is the best solution to the issues of the Middle East and the establishment of peace around the world, and they are fully aware that his thought, philosophy and international project based on democracy and the unity of peoples is the solution to the issues and conflicts of the Middle East regions.

Buthaina Abdo stressed that the Turkish occupation state, whatever it does, will not be able to withhold its free thought from peoples eager for freedom, and thanks to the democratic nation's project based on the principle of peoples unity, equality and justice, women have been granted all their rights and played their role in all fields.

Buthaina explained: "We, the free women of Zenobia, have the responsibility to defend our leader Abdullah Ocalan by exposing the policy and systematic violations followed by the Turkish occupation state."
