PYD mourns activist Mala Suleiman Amouka

In a statement issued today, the General Council of the PYD expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of activist and party member Mala Suleiman Amouka, who devoted her life to serving her people and defending the causes of freedom and democracy after a long journey of struggle filled with dedication and national work.

The statement noted that the late activist was considered one of the pioneering women who played a prominent role since the early beginnings of the Rojava Revolution, contributing effectively to the first stages of establishing the Democratic Autonomous Administration. She was also known for her continuous struggle for women’s freedom, alongside her active presence in the political and social spheres.

The General Council affirmed that the deceased belonged to a patriotic and struggling family, as she was the sister of a martyr and carried throughout her life the values of sacrifice and free will, remaining committed to her national principles until her final days.

At the conclusion of the statement, the General Council of the PYD extended its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, her comrades, and the people, stressing that the memory of activist Mala Suleiman Amouka will remain alive in the conscience of the people and in the path of struggle for freedom, democracy, and the building of a free democratic society.
