"PYD is model of struggle within NE Syria revolution"

The 10th General Conference of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), which is being held at Sardam Hall in the city of Hasaka and under the slogan "Together for the physical freedom of leadrr Apo, the consolidation of self-administration and the building of a democratic Syria", witnessed several speeches praising the role of the party since its establishment and its relentless pursuit of resolving political crises

The co-chair of the Families of Martyrs and War Wounded Body in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria Region, Rezan Klu, blessed the convening of the conference, to refer to the difficult circumstances that the party has faced since its inception, the assassination of its members and the arrest campaigns that affected them, and stressed that its resistance despite all difficulties, and its role at all levels, is what crowned its successful career.

For his part, the co-chair of the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of the North and East Syria Region, Hussein Othman, delivered a speech in which he recalled the sacrifices of the martyrs, and said: "We in the Autonomous Administration, while congratulating the holding of this conference, recall the sacrifices made by the people of NE Syria, which contributed to achieve historical gains and became a beacon for the whole world."

He noted the circumstances during which the conference is being held: "The conference coincides with fierce and immoral attacks by the opposing force that wants to strike the project of the Autonomous Administration, because of the political and democratic path it offers based on social morality, women's freedom and alliance among the peoples of the region."

At the end of his speech, he hoped that the conference would be "the path to reach a political solution in Syria."

Kongra Star spokeswoman Rehan Loqo praised the role of the PYD's Women's Council, calling its establishment "a historic step and a model for the whole world, by demonstrating the role of women in the political sphere.

In conclusion, she said: "As the party has become a model of struggle and provided many martyrs, we hope that the conference will come out with recommendations that serve the future of the region and the people."

After the speeches, the conference continued with the reading of congratulatory telegrams provided by Kurdish, Syrian and Arab political parties, organizations and movements at the level of NE Syria, the Middle East and Kurdistan.
