Public and cultural events in Rojava to support YPJ and Language Day

The Rojava regions are preparing to host a series of public and cultural events during the month of May, including marches, festivals and popular meetings, to commemorate several occasions, and in support of the Women's Protection Units, in addition to activities related to Kurdish Language Day and Culture’s Martyrs Day.

Throughout May, the Rojava region is witnessing a series of public and cultural events and activities commemorating the Day of Martyrs of Kurdish Culture and Language, and in support of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ).

May 11th marks the Day of Martyrs of Culture, and a commemoration event is scheduled to take place in Azadi Park in Qamishlo at 6:30 PM.

On May 18th, the Day of Martyrs of Kurdistan, public gatherings will be held in cities and towns across Rojava. Local councils will determine the locations and times for these gatherings.

As part of the Kongra Star campaign in support of the YPJ, several areas will host marches and public rallies, including Zirghan on May 10th, Qamishlo on May 12th, Tirbespiyê on May 13th, Tel Tamer on May 17th, and Hasaka on May 21st.

For its part, the Culture and Art Movement (TEV-ÇAND) is preparing to organize artistic events in Qamishlo, Derbasiya, Hasaka, and Derik in support of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ). The movement will announce the dates and locations of these events later.

In the same vein, the Martyrs' Families Council intends to organize a march in Qamishlo on May 14th to celebrate Kurdish Language Day.

The planned activities also include holding public meetings in various cities, towns, and villages to discuss the issue of "integration," under the supervision of the city administrations.
