On Tuesday, Qamishlo city witnessed a protest attended by dozens of motorcycle owners and delivery workers in the Nozad Street in the city center, rejecting the decision to ban the use of motorcycles.

The protesters raised banners that read "No to the motorcycle ban, yes to regulation," "Behind every motorcycle, there is a family waiting for their livelihood, no to the ban," and chanted slogans affirming their right to work, calling for the regulation of motorcycle use and the establishment of clear controls instead of imposing a total ban.

The participants in the protest confirmed that motorcycles are their primary means of work, and that the ban will deprive many families of their source of income.
