This evening, the Hasaka and Sere Kaniye branch of the Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria held a political dialogue seminar titled: "The Kurdish Agreement and Pathways for Dialogue with Damascus and Syrian Components." The event took place at the Reading Garden in the Tel Hajar neighborhood of Hasaka, drawing notable attendance from political observers, intellectuals, and members of various political parties.

The seminar was moderated by Hussein Badr, the member of the party's political bureau, who delivered a detailed presentation on the latest updates in the Syrian-Kurdish dialogue following Kurdish unity, as well as the challenges facing negotiations with Damascus. He also reviewed regional and international positions regarding the Kurdish issue in Syria.

The seminar centered around the prospects for a political solution following the Kurdish Unity Conference in NE Syria and its impact on Syria as a whole amid the major shifts currently occurring in the Middle East.

Badr pointed out that the conference, which brought together political forces in NE Syria, was made possible by the efforts of Syrian Democratic Forces Commander Mazloum Abdi, Kurdistan Democratic Party leader Masoud Barzani, and support from foreign nations. He added: “Kurdish unity is not only important at this time but essential for securing Kurdish rights within the Syrian constitution.”

Badr also noted that Kurdish unity has always been a demand of the Kurdish people throughout history, echoed by all major Kurdish intellectuals, including writer and historian Ahmad Khani, poet Cigerxwîn, and other Kurdish historians. He stated, “This agreement forms the cornerstone of the Kurdish issue in Syria and across the four parts of Kurdistan.”

The seminar witnessed significant engagement and open discussions among the participants. It concluded with a reaffirmation of the importance of Kurdish unity and the continuation of dialogue among all political parties as a path toward resolving the Kurdish issue.
