Periodic cleaning initiative to improve service, environmental conditions in Tel Tamr

In a step aimed at improving services and strengthening public cleanliness, the Tel Tamr City Council, in coordination with the People's Municipality, launched today a comprehensive cleaning campaign targeting neighborhoods in the city center, with the participation of service teams, city council members, civil society institutions, women's organizations, and commune members.

The initiative began in the western neighborhoods of the city, within the area of Martyr Demhat Commune, where participating teams started cleaning streets and public squares and removing accumulated waste and debris as part of efforts to provide residents with a healthy and clean environment.

Those responsible for the initiative emphasized that it is part of an ongoing service plan aimed at improving the quality of public services and preserving the city's appearance, in addition to reducing the environmental and health impacts caused by waste accumulation.

They also pointed out that the initiative is not intended as a temporary activity but will continue on a regular basis twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, according to a schedule covering all neighborhoods of the city to ensure that every area is reached.

The initiative was welcomed by residents, who stressed the importance of maintaining such activities because of their role in improving environmental and public health conditions and promoting a culture of volunteer work and social responsibility in preserving public cleanliness.

This initiative comes as part of efforts by service institutions in Tel Tamer to improve the level of basic services and respond to residents’ needs, contributing to a clean and safe environment that reflects the city’s civilized image.
