People of Raqqa, Tabqa, and Deir ez-Zor participate in shift on Tishreen Dam

On January 8, thousands of residents of cities in the NE Syria headed in a civilian convoy towards the Tishreen Dam to stop the Turkish occupation attacks on the Tishreen Dam and prevent it from collapsing.

Yesterday, Saturday, hundreds of residents of the cities of Tal Tamr, Al-Darbasiyah, Zarghan, Hasaka, Al-Shaddadi and Amuda from Al-Jazira Canton joined the residents on duty at the dam.

The people of Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor cantons are now preparing to set off tomorrow, Monday, as part of a delegation to the Tishreen Dam, to participate in the shift to protect the dam from the attacks of the Turkish occupation state and prevent it from collapsing.

The collapse of the dam constitutes a humanitarian catastrophe against the people of Tabqa, Raqqa, and Deir ez-Zor Cantins in particular, and all of Syria in general.

Thousands of people from the NE Syria region have been taking turns at the Tishreen Dam for 5 days, in the form of groups to protect the dam from the attacks it has been exposed to since December 8, 2024.
